The CEO of the Saudi Real Estate General Authority, Engineer Abdullah bin Saud Al-Hammad, said that the authority will issue the first real estate legislation for facilities management in the Saudi real estate sector during the first quarter of next year 2024 AD, and the regulatory regulations for facilities management will be issued, which organizes and governs work in this activity as one of the real estate legislations. Which contributes to the governance of the real estate sector and raises its reliability and investment attractiveness. Al-Hammad participated in the “Mifma Confex” 2023 conference and exhibition, organized by the Middle East Facilities Management Association (Mifma) under the slogan “Facilities Management in the Digital Age - Towards Adopting a Smart Future,” held in Riyadh on October 15-16. Al-Hammad explained in his speech at the opening of the conference that the state was keen to organize and develop the real estate sector, improve its supervision mechanisms, raise its efficiency and encourage investment in it, as it is one of the pillars of the national economy, and enable it to increase its contribution to the gross domestic product, which according to second quarter statistics reached Of the current year, 6.1%, while the contribution of real estate activities to non-oil activities amounted to 12.7%.
